From Vulnerability to Self-Reliance
Maya, a single mother of two, came to Ideal Home Nepal after facing abandonment and economic hardship. With no income and constant discrimination, survival itself felt like a daily struggle.
Through Ideal Home’s vocational training and psychosocial counseling, Maya learned tailoring and basic business skills. She also received legal support and health services, helping her regain stability and confidence.
Today, Maya runs a small tailoring business and supports her children independently. More than financial security, she has reclaimed her dignity and hope for the future. Her story reflects Ideal Home Nepal’s mission—empowering women to build safe, independent, and sustainable lives.

A Safe Place to Dream Again
Rina came to Ideal Home Nepal as a young adolescent after experiencing neglect and unsafe living conditions. She had dropped out of school and struggled with fear, low self-esteem, and uncertainty about her future.
At Ideal Home, Rina received safe shelter, psychosocial counseling, healthcare, and support to return to education. With continuous care and encouragement, she began to heal emotionally and rediscover her potential. She participated in awareness programs and developed essential life skills that helped her grow more confident and expressive.
Today, Rina is back in school and actively planning for her future. She dreams of becoming a teacher so she can support children facing challenges like her own. Her story reflects how timely protection and holistic support can help young lives move forward with hope and purpose.
